For Staff

  • Workday is simple, efficient, and personalized.
  • Use Workday to perform tasks such as manage your personal information, view your compensation, enter up to three pay elections (direct deposit), enter and correct time (for all non-exempt, weekly-paid workers), request time off, view benefits, and more. Step-by-step instructions for a variety of functions are found in the Workday tip sheet catalog in the self-service topic.
  • Staff performance management in Workday is conducted in the fall, during a mid-year review, and in the spring, during a year-end review, shortly before the merit increase program. More information is available on the Performance Management Guide.
  • Workday Learning connects University staff, faculty, postdocs, students and other workers and affiliates with their required job-related training and learning opportunities directly from Workday. The University’s administrative training providers optimize Workday Learning to house, deliver, and track training/learning for safety, compliance, and professional development purposes. More information is available on the Workday Learning Guide.
  • With Workday, you can develop your current and prospective skills and competencies, identify opportunities where workers with a similar job position to yours have advanced, and easily apply to staff positions as an internal candidate. More information is available on the Career Development Guide.
